A damaged roof doesn't wait for a convenient time, and neither do we. Big Toms Roofing keeps trucks staged around Alexandria so a certified roofer can be looking at your roof within hours, not days, with a straight-talk estimate before any work starts.
We built Big Toms Roofing to fix a problem every homeowner in Alexandria has run into: contractors who don't return calls, no-show for appointments, or pad the invoice once the tarp's already on the roof. Our Roof Installation crews are local, licensed, and accountable — every estimate is in writing before a single shingle gets pulled.
From a single missing shingle to a full tear-off, our Alexandria crews handle every stage of roofing work with the same attention to detail — licensed, permitted, and cleaned up when we leave.
When a tree limb punches through decking or shingles peel back in a wind event, water gets in fast. We prioritize emergency calls in Alexandria above scheduled work, get a tarp on within hours, and document everything with photos for your insurance file.
When patching stops making financial sense, a full tear-off and reroof resets the clock on your home. We strip old material down to the deck, replace any rotten sheathing, install proper underlayment and ice-and-water protection, and finish with a manufacturer-certified shingle or metal system backed by a real warranty.
Downtime costs money, so commercial Roof Installation jobs get scheduled around your operating hours whenever possible, with clear communication to property managers and tenants throughout the project.
After a wind or hail event, insurance companies want documented proof of damage. Our inspection team photographs and reports storm damage in a format adjusters recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
Poor attic ventilation cooks shingles from underneath and can void manufacturer warranties. Our Alexandria crews balance intake and exhaust ventilation to extend the life of your Roof Installation system and lower attic temperatures in summer.
Every one of these commitments exists because a Alexandria homeowner asked for it, complained about a competitor's lack of it, or we learned it the hard way.
You'll know the exact scope and cost in writing before work starts, and that number doesn't move unless you approve a change.
Because our trucks stay staged around Alexandria, we're rarely more than an hour from your address for emergency calls.
Certification isn't a marketing badge here — it's required training that affects how your warranty is honored.
If something about the finished work doesn't sit right with you, call us back and we'll make it right — that's the deal.
We document damage the way adjusters expect to see it, which shortens the back-and-forth on storm claims.
We treat your yard and driveway like we'd want ours treated — swept, protected, and cleared before we leave each day.
We don't cherry-pick these — they're representative of the calls, texts, and reviews we get after most Roof Installation jobs in Alexandria.
"We had a leak show up during a storm at night and I honestly didn't expect anyone to answer the phone. Big Toms Roofing had a crew tarping our roof within a couple hours and came back two days later to do the real repair. Can't recommend them enough."
"I got three quotes for a full reroof and Big Toms Roofing wasn't the cheapest, but they were the only ones who explained exactly what was included and stuck to it. Zero surprises on the final bill."
"They handled the entire insurance claim conversation with our adjuster, sent over photo documentation, and honestly made a stressful situation way less stressful. Roof looks great too."
"As a property manager I've worked with a lot of roofing companies and Big Toms Roofing is one of the few that actually communicates before showing up and after the job's done."
"Their inspection before we bought our house flagged ventilation and flashing problems that weren't obvious on a walkthrough. Glad we called them before closing, not after."
